PERCEPÇÕES SOBRE O USO DE PIERCINGS E/OU TATUAGENS POR FUNCIONÁRIOS DE EMPREENDIMENTOS HOTELEIROS DE FOZ DO IGUAÇU/PR (BRASIL)

A hotelaria apresenta-se como setor padronizado no que diz respeito ao estereótipo de seus funcionários da linha de frente. O setor não apresenta uma aceitação visível ao diferente quando se trata dos recursos humanos da empresa. Para melhor compreender este fenômeno, foi realizada uma pesquisa tomando como referencial temas de hotelaria e turismo, assim como da antropologia tais como estereótipos e mudanças culturais. Foi também aplicado um questionário nos empreendimentos hoteleiros de Foz do Iguaçu/PR, com amostra probabilística, para analisar o nível de aceitação com relação aos funcionários que possuem piercing e/ou tatuagem. Um outro questionário foi aplicado aos turistas nacionais e internacionais que estavam na mesma localidade, com o intuito de analisar a percepção dos mesmos para com a atuação destes profissionais, sendo uma amostra não probabilística. Esta pesquisa quali-quantitativa permitiu que os dados coletados demonstrassem a existência de discriminação nos processos seletivos na hotelaria.
