Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- This is an academic/scientific article.
- The topic of the work is directly related to tourism.
- The work has not been published in full in any other vehicle, except as an academic work (dissertation or thesis).
- The manuscript is not under consideration for publication anywhere else, except as an academic work (dissertation or thesis).
- All authors are registered as authors in the electronic publishing system of RBTUR an they commit to be reviewers of articles submitted to RBTUR when invited.
- The list of authors includes only the names of those who contributed significantly to at least the discussion of the research results and one of the following activities: research design, literature review, data collection, or data analysis.
- All authors are registered as authors in the RBTUR electronic editorial system and are committed to reviewing articles submitted to RBTUR when invited.
- The authors' emails registered in the system are correct and up to date.
- All measures described in the Author Guidelines have been taken to ensure the authors will not be identified during the evaluation process.
- If the article is accepted for publication and the data used in the article have no ethical or proprietary restrictions on sharing, the authors commit to openly sharing the data.
- The description of any potential conflict of interest of the authors relative to the publication of this article will be made in the field "Comments for the editor"
- All figures have sufficient quality and definition to ensure perfect viewing when zoomed in at 100% on a computer screen or other equipment.
- The DOIs of all publications that have this locator are provided in the references. The URLs of publications available online but without a DOI are provided in the references.
Articles - Tourism Management
Articles focused on topics related to destination management and tourism businesses. This set naturally encompasses articles on various aspects of these elements, including public policy, public and business administration, economics, organizational management, marketing, behavioral sciences, technology, territorial planning, and other related fields.
Articles - Tourism and Society
Articles related to social, cultural, and environmental issues related to tourism in different times and spaces. This group encompasses scientific articles on tourism in dialogue with the humanities and social sciences, including history, sociology, education, geography, the arts, anthropology, architecture and urban planning, museology, gastronomy, literature, psychology, philosophy, leisure, mobility, and hospitality.
Literature Reviews
This section publishes articles that map and systematize existing scientific literature on a given topic, identifying gaps, integrating fragmented approaches, and proposing future research directions. Literature reviews should address topics of established or emerging relevance in the field of tourism with significant accumulated scientific publications.
