Turismo e patrimônio do Vinho Madeira
regeneração através do reconhecimento da UNESCO

Este estudo avalia a interseção entre turismo regenerativo e o Património do vinho Madeira, com foco no potencial estratégico da obtenção do reconhecimento pela UNESCO das Tradições do Vinho Madeira como Património Cultural Imaterial da Humanidade. Enquadrada nos conceitos de turismo sustentável e regenerativo, a pesquisa aborda uma lacuna na literatura sobre estratégias de regeneração impulsionadas pelo Património em destinos insulares. Os dados foram recolhidos através de inquérito por entrevista semi-estruturada (gravada), envolvendo todas as organizações produtoras de vinho da Madeira, e analisados por análise de conteúdo apoiada em estatísticas descritivas. O guião aplicado incluía questões relacionadas com as tradições vinícolas da Madeira e os objetivos de desenvolvimento sustentável da ONU, bem como específicas da Lista Representativa. Os resultados revelam um forte consenso sobre o potencial do reconhecimento da UNESCO para fortalecer a identidade cultural, preservar práticas agrícolas tradicionais e aumentar a resiliência do destino. No entanto, os desafios na mudança do uso do solo induzida pelo turismo, descontinuidade geracional e riscos de mercantilização destacam a necessidade de políticas integradas. O estudo sustenta a ideia de que modelos de turismo regenerativo e sustentável podem ser ferramentas complementares para a resiliência de destinos com base no Património em contextos insulares.
