Como a operação de alojamentos locais de curto prazo influencia o bem-estar de cidades turísticas? O caso de Braga, Portugal

As pesquisas relacionadas ao bem-estar de comunidades turísticas estão cada vez mais em evidência, embora investigações aprofundadas que tratem dos sentimentos de residentes acerca da operação de alojamentos turísticos locais de curto prazo precisem de maiores exames. Sob a ótica da Lógica Dominante do Serviço, este artigo tem como foco explorar a influência deste modelo de negócio no bem-estar da comunidade de Braga, cidade turística ao norte de Portugal, a partir da compreensão dos sentimentos de 27 residentes entrevistados em profundidade, relacionados aos fatores de cocriação de valor e codestruição de valor percebidos. Os resultados apontam para a elevação do bem-estar da comunidade quando o negócio permite, principalmente, maior movimento econômico para a cidade. No entanto, os impactos negativos encontrados acendem um alerta sobre o futuro do negócio em Braga, uma vez que se repetem em cidades que já impuseram fortes restrições ao modelo de negócio. Pesquisas futuras podem se aprofundar em comunidades com grau de desenvolvimento turístico semelhante ou diverso, para auxiliar agentes locais na manutenção ou recuperação do bem-estar de suas comunidades.
