O papel do apego de residentes ao lugar no design de experiências turísticas no espaço rural

Resumo

Residentes de destinos turísticos se conectam afetivamente com o espaço em que vivem. Esse fenômeno é conhecido como apego ao lugar, que pode ter diversas repercussões positivas para destinos turísticos. O objetivo deste artigo é investigar o papel do apego ao lugar no desenvolvimento de experiências turísticas no espaço rural. Realizamos entrevistas semiestruturadas com foto-elicitação com 10 agricultores familiares e empreendedores em 4 roteiros de turismo rural brasileiros. A análise temática reflexiva resultou em três temas: 1) O lugar como inspiração para experiências turísticas; 2) A influência do apego ao lugar na busca por oferecer experiências autênticas; e 3) A interação entre expectativa de lugar e transformações espaciais e pessoais. Os resultados sugerem que o apego ao lugar dos moradores contribui de forma significativa para o planejamento de experiências turísticas. Esses resultados possuem implicações teóricas para o conhecimento sobre o apego ao lugar e design de experiências turísticas. Do ponto de vista prático, argumentamos que o apego dos moradores ao lugar pode ser um substrato inicial para planejamento de experiências memoráveis. Além disso, o desenvolvimento do turismo responsável pode reforçar as conexões afetivas dos moradores com seu espaço, história e cultura.

Doutorando em Turismo pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Turismo da Universidade de São Paulo (PPGTUR-USP). Mestre e Bacharel em Turismo e Tecnólogo em Hotelaria pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Integrante do Grupo de Pesquisa Turismo, Trabalho e Território (UFF) e do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Economia e Administração do Turismo (NEAT-USP). Principais interesses de pesquisa: psicologia do turismo; experiência turística e apego ao lugar. Contribuições: concepção da pesquisa, revisão de literatura, coleta de dados e análise de dados e discussão dos resultados.
