Uma abordagem integrada das experiências turísticas transformativas e do bem-estar em contextos de crise

Este artigo analisa como experiências turísticas com potencial transformativo se relacionam com oscilações no bem-estar em um contexto de crise. A pesquisa fundamenta-se na Teoria da Aprendizagem Transformativa e no modelo PERMA, adotados como lentes teórico-analíticas para compreender processos de desorientação, autorreflexão e construção de significado vivenciados por turistas que viajaram no início da pandemia da Covid-19. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, baseado em entrevistas semiestruturadas em profundidade com viajantes brasileiros, analisadas por meio de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados evidenciam que as experiências turísticas vividas em contextos de crise são marcadas por oscilações no bem-estar hedônico e eudaimônico, associadas a promotores e redutores de bem-estar, e que o processo transformativo não decorre exclusivamente da intensidade dos eventos vivenciados, mas dos processos interpretativos e da construção de significado atribuída pelos próprios turistas. A partir dos achados empíricos, o estudo propõe uma síntese conceitual das experiências turísticas transformativas em contextos de crise, destacando o caráter não linear e contingente desses processos. O artigo contribui para o avanço teórico ao integrar aprendizagem transformativa, bem-estar e turismo em situações extremas, oferecendo subsídios para pesquisas futuras e implicações relevantes para a gestão do turismo em contextos de instabilidade.
